Real Estate Sign Riders at a Glance
A rider is the small strip of sign that hangs above or below the main panel. It is the cheapest way to change what a sign says: the listing panel stays where it is, and a new rider announces the news.
Order riders on their own, in either standard width, and keep a few on hand for the moment a listing changes status.
- 1/8″ white PVC board, rigid and lightweight

What to Put on a Rider
Status Changes
“Sold”, “In Escrow”, “Price Reduced”, “Under Contract”, “Coming Soon”. One rider swap tells the whole street what happened, and costs a fraction of a new panel.
Open House Days
Hang an “Open House” or “Open Sunday 1-4” rider on the morning of the showing and take it down afterwards. Keep a stack and reuse them across listings.
Your Name and Number
Put your name, phone or brokerage on a rider and move it from listing to listing. The main panel carries the property, the rider carries you.
Rider Specifications
Sizes
The 24″ x 6″ rider matches a small post, which carries 24″-wide panels. The 36″ x 6″ rider matches a large post, which carries 36″-wide panels. Match the rider width to the panel above it.
Single or Double Sided
Choose double sided when the rider hangs from a post and traffic passes in both directions – it reads from either side. Single sided is the cheaper choice when the rider sits against a fence, a wall or a window, where only one face is ever seen.
Material and Printing
Riders are cut from 1/8″ white PVC board, the same rigid sheet used for sign frames and wall signs. Printing is direct UV, which is durable and scratch resistant, and the board is rated for indoor and outdoor use.
Hanging
Grommets can be set in the top two corners or all four, so the rider hooks straight onto your post arm or clips to the panel above. Tell us which you need in the order notes.
Production takes 2-3 business days, plus shipping.
