Specifications of Frosted Vinyl Window Decals
These graphics stand out with their etched-glass effect, perfect for defining any area without costly renovations. Check the key technical details to see if the product meets your unique needs.
Material and Printing
Frosted window decals are made of high-quality privacy film vinyl with adhesive backing. The material is semi-transparent and has 7 mil matte frost lamination. The graphics come in custom sizes and shapes, designed for indoor and outdoor glass applications.
For this product, we employ UV-printing technology, ensuring an appealing and durable matte finish. You can choose from different design options, such as standard and reverse cut graphics, as well as frosted lettering. In case of the reverse cut finishing option, the design will be cut away from the frosted background, allowing you to see through the graphics.
Note that when you order standard frosted graphics, the printed colors look darker than the submitted artwork before the installation.
Installation of Standard Frosted Decals
Custom frosted window decals are installed via the wet application method. For installation, you need a spray bottle of a water- and soap-based solution, paper towels, painters’ tape, and a squeegee.
Before you start applying the standard etched glass decal, clean the glass surface and allow it to air dry. Lay the graphics on a flat surface and remove the backing. Spray a generous amount of the water and soap solution onto the back of the graphics and the application surface. Carefully apply the graphics to the wet glass surface. You can adjust the graphics on it until you reach the desired position. Use the squeegee over it to get rid of bubbles. Lastly, clean the glass surface with paper towels to remove excess water.
